Partial Dentures

Dentures are removable replacements for missing teeth and gums. Full dentures are given when all the teeth are missing and partial dentures are given when some of your natural teeth are still intact.

Partial dentures are a set of replacement teeth, which are attached to gum-colored bases. There are different types of partial dentures, and depending on the type of denture you receive, they may have a metal framework and clips that connect to your remaining natural teeth or it may have precision attachments, which are less obvious than the clips. Dr. Nathan Cejka will discuss each option with you and help you decide which type is best for your particular situation.

What Can I Expect After I Receive My Dentures?

It’s important to remember that new dentures may feel a little loose or even a little weird for the first few weeks. Keep in mind that the muscles in your tongue and cheeks will eventually learn to keep your dentures in place and you will get more comfortable putting them in and removing them.
