Night Guards

Grinding or clenching your teeth, which is also called bruxism, is usually the result of stress and anxiety exhibiting itself in your sleep. However, it can also be caused by sleep disorders or by an abnormal bite. Luckily, our wonderful dentist, Dr. Nathan Cejka, can fit you with a night guard in order to protect your teeth from nighttime grinding or clenching, which can be painful and cause plenty of damage.

For example, when the excessive pressure of bruxism becomes a habit, it can often result in a very painful condition called Temporomandibular Joint Syndrome, or TMJ. Unfortunately, those suffering from TMJ are often unaware of the nighttime grinding or clenching until painful symptoms arise.

Symptoms Of Bruxism

  • Jaw soreness
  • Waking up with dull headaches
  • Fractured Teeth
  • Teeth that are loose or painful

You should notice a marked improvement in your symptoms not long after you’ve begun wearing your night guard to bed.

Please call Front Range Smiles to get more information on teeth grinding or to schedule an appointment.
